God Bless each and everyone of you, and thank you for joining us here @ Word of Life, we know you could be anywhere this afternoon but we’re glad that you chose to be with us.
Let’s Pray
Repeat after Me
A Warriors Confession
I AM,
Somebody…
I AM,
A Warrior…
Therefore I AM,
Victorious…
And that’s because I AM,
A child of God!!!
TNS #3 "Who do You See"
When you look in a mirror do you see Gods beautiful creation or do you see someone who is flawed???
All of us are Free to See, who we choose to See.
When I look into the mirror I see a Warrior!!!
Yes Iv’e been through some things like the rest of you, but that’s not what I choose to see...
Im not going to allow a couple flaws, or trials, determine who I am.
We all have different chapters, and experiences we will go through but that doesn’t change the fact that God created you with a purpose and plan in mind.
Regardless of how invaluable you may feel, God created You, You are Somebody.
But I want to talk about this, even though it may be hard...
Tell me a time when you felt like you you were less than others or weren’t enough???
Some of us have allowed what we see in the mirror to dictate how we live and determine who we are.
Genesis 1:26 ESV
Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
Genesis 1:27 ESV
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
Some may look in the mirror today and feel worthless.
We feel like our lives have no value, we feel insignificant.
But what I need you to see today is that you are valuable and you were created in the image of God.
You may not like your skin color, your hair, the way you age.
But you are God’s creation and you are significant.
You are free to see, whatever you want but know He created you the way He wanted to.
Genesis 5:1 ESV
This is the book of the generations of Adam. When God created man, he made him in the likeness of God.
Genesis 5:2 ESV
Male and female he created them, and he blessed them and named them Man when they were created.
We were Blessed when we were created, sometimes it might not feel like it, maybe we don’t care for how we look or the family we were born into, but regardless we are God’s creation and were Blessed.
Now of course through Adam we had the fall of man and sin came in and tried to steal that blessing, but through Jesus Christ that Blessing can be restored.
Now the fall of man which i am referring to is when Adam and Eve ate from the tree.
Genesis 3:8 ESV
And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.
Genesis 3:9 ESV
But the Lord God called to the man and said to him, “Where are you?”
Genesis 3:10 ESV
And he said, “I heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid myself.”
Genesis 3:11 ESV
He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?”
Genesis 3:12 ESV
The man said, “The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate.”
Thats just like us to blame God for our mistakes...
Well it was the wife you gave me!!!
But heres the point, Adam and Eve were created just as God intended them to be.
He created them male and female, the way He intended it to be.
He created them in His image, and He Blessed them.
It wasn’t until they allowed the enemy in, that something was wrong with their appearance.
Who told you you were naked, who told you you weren’t good enough, who told you, you were ugly???
When we allow the enemy in, he tries to mess with who you see in the mirror.
Jeremiah 1:5 ESV
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
He set you apart...
He took time to form you, He created every detail about you, even those marks or scars you dislike.
Story: I remember when I was a little kid I remember one day i noticed I had this birthmark on my arm its small now but when I was a little kid this thing seemed huge...
I remember trying real hard to get it off, and then finally showing Mama and she told me I wasn't going to be able to take it off, it was their forever.
I began to cry because I wanted it off, and I’m sure after she told me I wasn't going to be able to take it off, I tried again anyway.
God created me and took time doing it, I’m not worthless, or old, or insignificant. I am a child of God, created in His image.
Extra Point
You are valuable...
Storage Wars: My father and I would go to those because he loved going to those.
We found one that nobody else bid on.
I saw a box of DVDs and hoped for the best.
Others looked at it and thought it was junk, it had no value in it.
But we found games, dvd’s, and jewelry.
Others saw nothing, others saw junk, others saw a storage with no value.
And we may look at our lives, or even worse others may look at your life and see no value, and se no worth.
But what God sees is His creation, He sees someone He made from scratch, and He sees a life that He values more than you can understand.
1 Corinthians 6:20 ESV
for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
You buy the entire storage and you have to clean it up, thats what God does for us once we allow Him to.
